Just get away and Relax.

It is always nice to just get away. Whether you take a trip to the zoo, theme park, or even go camping, its a nice break.  We love going camping, most of the time it is out on our 20 acres. We fish, hike, run around on the tractor, have a bomb fire and much more. That is our get away, our therapy and our family time. I had the opportunity to visit Florida and the Bahamas last year and that is a trip I would suggest to take. I mostly just stayed on the outskirts of Florida in the old town part, but that is what I like doing instead of the busy theme parks and attractions. Found some great places to eat, my go to place to eat would have to be 3 Sisters Speakeasy. Located in Kissimmee, the food was great and plentiful.  You can check out there website to read the story behind the name. When staying in the Bahamas the people are real nice and the culture is beautiful. I did not get the chance to explore much, I mostly stayed at the resort. But, it was a wonderful stay, beautiful beaches and lots of entertainment. Oh, I got married there, on the beach. Me, my husband and a couple pulled off the beach for witnesses. Below is a picture in front of the Speakeasy. We ate outside.

Bird Lovers

Wanting to do something for those feathered friends.  Make some bird houses.  You can go

online anywhere and find house designs.  Build them a house and decorate away, me and my kiddo

made some houses and he had minions on his and I had a cute little vampire on mine.  You can either

hang them up around your yard, (we have a wall on our garage just for the birds).  You can also hang

them out on your land or someone you knows land, (get there permission first of coarse).

Having fun in the snow.

Having some fun in the snow. Kids are attracted to the snow, some fun things to have them do is to give them water guns or squirt bottles full of colored water. Let them paint the snowy yard in rainbow colors. Food coloring in the water will just melt away with the snow and is earth friendly. Have some fun and try to keep warm in these cold days of winter.

Cars Away

Does your kido like to play with cars? Well have I got a project for you. Your kids can build there own unique cars with what ever design they want. Your local craft store carries derby car kits, with full instructions. You just draw your cut out shape on and depending on the design you can either sand it down or take a saw to it. Then have the kids sand away till there satisfied. The next step is the funnest, they can paint it up. If you want some design ideas you can go on Pinterest or just Google up a design, add the wheels then play with it all you want. Me and my son has done a few of these cars in his Cubscout group and the kids have a blast, along with the adults, (some adults build one of there own to play with and race the kids). For the younger kids, make sure there is adult supervision. Have fun.

Make a memory.

Buying ornaments for the Christmas tree can be fun, but expensive at times. So, why not make some of your own. Making your own ornaments for the tree can save you money and you will have fun doing it while making memories. Me and my son get a new ornament every year to add to the tree, we have made them for many years and we add dates to remember the year and memories that come with it. You can make them out of paper, then cover with clear tape to preserve them or you can do them out of modeling clay that you would find in your local store in the craft section. have fun and make some memories.

Let it snow, a little....

Kids love to play in the snow. They build their snow men and throw snow balls, they make snow angles and tracks that they come back to follow the next day, just to see where they have been. Another thing that I have found that they love to do is to get bottles of water, adding different colors of food coloring to them and drawing in the snow. Oh, another cool thing to do is to take that colored water and fill balloons, next just freeze them either outside or in your freezers. Then, ounce frozen, peel the balloons off the frozen colored balls and you have a great yard decoration, ounce warm enough out will melt and create beautiful colors in the snow. These projects are earth friendly and fun. Have a great day.

Pumpkin fun!!!

I have noticed that carving pumpkins is more of a chore than a fun time. I walk through the isles at the store and there are massive pumpkin carving kits with knives, scooping tools, design pages for detailed works of art, whole punches and more. Lets go back to having fun with it and not trying to make it so perfect. ***** Use a spoon to scoop out the guts and grab a market letting the kids go to town drawing what they want using there imaginations. Then you get to have fun with a steak knife trying to decipher what and where to cut and using tooth picks to hold together those parts that just do not want to stay in place. Add some tea lights and you have a scary but cute decoration for your front porch that your kids and you had fun doing, without getting carpal tunnel and a cramped arm. Have Fun!!!
